Newark, New Jersey, USA: Osun The Goddess, a Nigerian/Nollywood movie recently premiered at the Citiplex-12 Movie Theater in Newark, New Jersey. The movie which was written and produced by Florence Trautman, aka Floxy Bee, the Queen of Hikosso (Yeye Asa) was shot in Abata Egba in Modakeke Ile Ife, Nigeria. The story is about the Osun Goddess and though it is billed as a film about the fight against rape, abuse, and violence against women, it delves into the interplay of life on earth and how the connection with the ancestors and spirits of the world beyond tend to work towards achieving fairness and justice in the society. Besides Floxy Bee, the movie also stared such actors as, Murphy Afolabi, Faithia Balogun, and Femi Branch among others.
